Aug 16, 2017 There are lots of beets, beans, peas, tomatoes, egg plant, apples, berries and much more.
July 25, 2017 The strawberries aren't producing flowers or fruit so we are on hold for the strawberries. The raspberries, peas and beets are all available for u-pick. The beans are coming along and shall be next on the list when they mature. We will have blueberries soon but we don't offer u-pick since they can pick up diseases if picked incorrectly.
July 18, 2017 The strawberries seem to have stalled at the moment. There isn't any flowers on the plants and they aren't producing. We are talked with some other farmers in the area who are saying the same thing so we are just waiting to see what the plant is going to do. Our raspberries and peas have made a move and are available for u-pick this weekend.
June 30, 2017 We are waiting for the next flush of strawberries. There isn't many flowers blooming on the strawberries which would be a good sign of continuous strawberries but they will start their next flush soon. These strawberries are ever-bearing and will produce until Aug/Sept. Stay tuned! June 27, 2017 - Family U-Pick season for Strawberries has arrived! The strawberries are slowly coming around as we don't have an abundance of them yet. There is enough for a couple of containers for each family. Once the season gets underway the strawberries will produce more for people to come and pick pounds of them. We also have u-pick fava or broad beans. They have 27% protein and are wonderful to eat Come with your children on Friday, Saturday and Sundays to u-pick your own. Cash or cheque only.
Each year we have a variety of crops to u-pick from and it will be updated on our Facebook page!
In the spring/ summer months we have u-pick strawberries, beets, beans, raspberries, beans and much more!
The price would be per pound at a different rate than if we picked it for you! This is a great way to save money, pick for the volume you want, have it picked by you FRESH, and get to know how your food is grown. Bring your family and friends to come down and pick. We will have tent available for those who need some shade to sit under and rest.
Please talk to your children about the farm rules
Please be aware that an ELECTRIC fence surrounds the perimeter of the farm and one end of the pond. Please stress this to your child that it isn’t to experiment with.
The float on the pond is out of bounds to children without a parent in attendance. The dock can be slippery and tipsy and is unsafe for small children.
Tools, machinery and other farm equipment are located around the farm. Please do not play with the farm machinery and equipment. It is against the rules of the Farm Safe Program.
Chickens are fun but proper care of sanitation after touching them is required. Please also make sure no outside food goes into the coop.
